 Horror Film Shoots in Colombia  Spain's Victor Garcia directs an international cast in Gallows Hill The film stars Colombian actors Gustavo Angarita, Carolina Guerra and Julieta Salazar, Spanish actress Nathalia Ramos (House of Anubis), Brit Sophia Myles (Underworld) and American Peter Facinelli (Twilight). Shooting is currently underway in the village of Gobernador near Sesquilé, Cundinamarca (only a few miles outside Bogotá) where the town's unique architecture made it the ideal location. The challenging make-up (slit throats, bullet wounds, flattened heads and mutilations) and special effects (overturned vehicles, landslides and skidding and sunken cars) are in the capable hands of Colombians Olga Turrini (make-up designer) and Guillermo Forero (Head of Special Effects), who are joined by other outstanding crew members including cinematographer Alejandro Moreno (El Páramo) and sound engineer Guillermo Morales. See more >>  Plaza Sésamo Series to be Produced in Colombia  The Colombian production company 2&2 in charge of production services The Sesame Street franchise will produce 26 twelve-minute episodes entirely in Colombia. Each of the approximately five-minute stories will be based on educational curriculum developed in a series of seminars that took place in Bogotá over the past year. 2&2, a company with more than seven years' experience as a production service provider in Colombia, is in charge of production on the series. See more >> RTI Colombia Signs Production Agreement with Televisa  Production company also signs agreement with RCN Televisión RTI Colombia will bring their characteristic style and quality to an annual 500 hours of dramatic series (primarily soaps) for Grupo Televisa over the next seven years. Two simultaneous production lines will be maintained in Colombia and Venezuela for the Televisa chain until 2019 and will include taping and broadcasts in Mexico and the US. The first of the Televisa soaps, La otra cara, a remake of one of the Mexican chain's biggest sellers La usurpadora, has begun shooting in Bogotá, setting an unbroken simultaneous production pace never before experienced by RTI, a company celebrating its 50th anniversary at the end of this year. This agreement confirms the steadily increasing role Colombia now plays in Latin American TV production apparent in productions such as Lynch for Moviecity, La Promesa broadcast by Golden, and three seasons of kdabra for Fox, to name only a few. See more >>     Venezuela is a major market, it has production resources and there is a revival in its television industry, several companies have started to produce there. Televisa wanted RTI to be their arm in Venezuela; we are making an agreement to use Radio Caracas facilities. We will produce soap operas with Venezuelan and foreign talent. All this within the international profile, we are not producing telenovelas under the RTI label, for any particular market. We must produce soap operas work out for foreign markets and we are creating contents that fit that profile.
