Musopen recently added a new Benefactor plan, and we are writing to get your feedback.
We hear from a lot from small, independent television and movie studios as well as producers, looking for royalty free audio. While not the primary mission of Musopen, we've been considering adding a solution that can benefit this group in particlar, and our wider audience.
The benefactor plan offers the following additional benefits:
1) Unlimited downloads
2) Lossless audio quality
3) Request system to submit music to be recorded next
4) HD audio at 96 kHz & 24 Bit / 192 kHz
5) Music tagging to find files by keyword (like getty images)
This plan is geared more towards this use case, (music for a films, tv commercials, or radio ads), providing higher quality audio formats and a request system for us to obtain a specific piece of music. Even better, the entire community then benefits from the additional music generated from these members.
This only works though if enough Musopen members commit to becoming benefactors, so our question for you is, how compelling is this new plan? Please provide us any feedback you have so we can make this successful, and if you are interested in supporting us, please consider upgrading to this plan today. As soon as a handful of people sign up, we can immediately dedicate a budget to the request system and get HD music recorded.
